Microchip Ely is based in the historic city of Ely. We are a 5-minute walk from the train station, where trains frequently travel to and from London and Cambridge. Microchip's site in Ely is primarily an engineering site hosting teams from Microchip’s Wireless Systems Group (WSG) and 32-bit microcontroller group (MCU32). The WSG team in Ely has a leading role in the development of technology for Microchip's range of Wi-Fi SoCs and modules, with a focus on software development, systems engineering and functional, interoperability and standards testing. The MCU32 team is part of a global design organisation working closely together to deliver high-performance, low-power and functionally capable chip designs for Microchip’s industry-leading 32-bit PIC® and SAM microcontroller portfolio, supporting countless applications ranging from general-purpose embedded control to secured Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and beyond.
